SYLLABUS
Theoretical Part of the Course
The role and synthetic value of color and its relationship with the other elements of the image: color and shape, space, rhythm, the symbolic and psychological value of color, color as a carrier of messages, etc.
Theory of the basic principles and concepts of Color.
Analysis of the form, the shading of tonal values , and colors in a work of art.
Approach to the primary visual elements in Color.
Analysis of the color management of works of art from different eras and connection with classical and modern aesthetic theories.
Laboratory part of the Course
The lesson through the student’s practice in the use of color with traditional techniques (tempera, acrylic, inks, pastels) and digital media as well as a combination of the two intends to encourage him in expanding his perception of the possibilities of color.
Natural color rendering is the first step in processing an image.
Reconstruction of images using different media (traditional and digital) and color techniques.
