Georgios D. Matthiopoulos, a member of our teaching staff, has recently visited the Museum’s archives for research of his Doctorate thesis at the Dept of History, Ioannina University. There, he recorded valuable historical material on the type design and production of Greek fonts by the Mergenthaler-Linotype Co, the leading manufacturer of typesetting machines and fonts throughout the 20th century.
